Touring shorts are great and all (3 pairs, just in case...) but the lack of side pockets drives me mad off the bike.
-
• #20703
Agreed. If I'm happy without pockets I'll use bibs. If I want pockets I'll wear shorts
Don't really see the benefit of a 'normal' look off the bike if it's less practical than my Levi's 511 shorts

It will be soon. I would keep an eye out and sign up for the newsletter if you haven't already, as this will give you notice when it arrives. Get in quick mind, before the eBay shits buy all the stock then list it at double the retail value.

Ha. Very good!
Anyone know whether the brevet gilet is en471 compliant?

Is it just me or do the PT bibs come up verrrry tight? 6'2" and 83kg (OK not very pro at the moment), bought large and could barely get me pins inside or straps over my shoulders. Are the classics cut a bit more forgiving?

@fussballclub it is not.

The yellow one is.

I'm 6'5 and 80kg and wear large in classic bibs, the straps are tight but loosen up a little after a few wears/washes. No experience of the pro team bibs.

The Pro-Team bib's straps are always tight when standing - try them on in a crouching/cycling position or on the bike and they're very comfortable.

The classics are very much a 'slacker' fit. If you size up on the Pro Team bibs you will find them more comfortable. The pro team bibs are at their best when on the bike, they are not the greatest when you are stood up straight. They do however give a little after a few weeks of use, and once you have got used to them anything else will feel poor quality, even the classic bibs.

None of the current ones then?

I get the newsletter but it gets lost in all my other junk email.
At a guess release will coincide with Wiggo's hour record attempt? Maybe they should restrict buyers to one of each item!

• #20717
I believe Rapha a doing all they can on this, there are restrictions on the amount you can buy on limited stock items and there are procedures to try and stop the ebayers but it is very hard for them to control this. You will just have to look at the site each day to see if anything has gone up. Newsletters tend to go out mid to late afternoons, so I would be looking before that time if it were me.

I'm 5'9", 76KG and still a large in pro team but the large goes almost to my kneecaps. Last year I got down to 70KG and thought I was safe to go medium, but no, achy balls.

Only freaks fit PT bibs :)

That's weird..
I'm 6'1" and about 79kg and wear a medium

Chunky legs and big tail section...

Makes more sense, I'm fairly leggy

Agree with the upthread stuff about the touring shorts. Great piece of kit. I just got a second pair for me and a pair for the missus using one of those discount codes that they email now and again.

5'8" and 63kg and I'm an happy in either a S or and XS in PT...
Is the cut on the Randonneur shorts different to the touring shorts?
