Me too. 1999 / 2000 will remain the most significant date change for alot of people, distorting their sense of time. 1990 still sounds like the recent past.
I still think of my life as "before 2000" and "after 2000":
before = fat, blonde, school tie, always in trouble at school, no freinds
after= skinny, died black hair, never at school, vodka, night clubs, fuk da police
