• PT Track < P2M Rotor Track < SRM Track

Omnium is concave so I don't think it would work with the 4ii. You could use a DA 7710 Stages, but lets not entertain that notion.

  • or what @dan does .. Rival stages and swap between track and road bike

  • @amey I have a Powertap on the road bike with an Ultagra chainset, the track bike has a SRAM GXP chainset, both with different length arms. I avoided Stages as I couldn't think of a way to get both bikes working from one arm without buying 2 new chainsets (And both the Powertaps were really cheap!).

  • I'll have to look into the P2M option later but hopefully Paligap just warranty the broken wheel.. still not sold on Stages.

  • Vector work for fixed, also.

  • I've heard they give hugely unreliable data on track bikes

  • I'll let you know what my experience is.

  • I very nearly went for a Stages DA track when shopping for a track PM as I already had the correct BB and cranks. Finding a set of mint 165mm Rotor 3D cranks pushed me towards the P2M track, which was my first choice given my 2+ years on a road classic one. I've now been using the P2M track in all weathers for the last 7 months. Absolutely no issues, just like their road offerings. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

  • Can someone sell me a 13t cog for PowerTap hub or point me in direction where I can buy one?

  • Thank you +umop3pisdn +iPete

  • my p2m had a 2 second blip and recorded 2000+w. Is there anyway to remove or edit this out of a gpx file?

Ive found the exact spot in the gpx file but no power numbers..

  • Email the file to me: alex@my_username.org and I can sort it out.

Obvious replacement in that email address should be obvious.

  • New disc hub

  • My P2M died with no warning. Just lost connection then crank was flashing red.
Happened when temp was -1 or so.

    Anyone had theirs just die?

  • Battery dead? Cold temperatures increase battery drain considerably..

  • Yeah I think so, makes sense as it was freezing.
But not happy it died with NO warning.

  • How many hours of use did you get out of it?

(these are what you need btw)

  • To be fair I got 180h. So I should have expected it. They're 175h run time right?

I'm just irritated it didn't give me any notice. I checked it the day before and it said it had good battery life. So I didn't bother changing it. As thought i still had good life left!

    Thanks for the link!

  • I think you're supposed to get around 400 hours worth! :S

  • I didn't know there was a way to check the battery life, is it that little green light that comes on when you first move it?

  • Mine did this.
Pretty sure it was an acceptable batery life. Just would have liked a warning. I blamed my Garmin at the time. It possible the LED was indicating low battery before. Cant say I would have noticed.

I bought a Whole strip of those Renata batteries off Ebay. Although for the S-type P2M you are no longer advised to stick to that brand alone.

  • Hmm I've emaild P2m as Im not happy anyway. So I'll let you know.

Yes, go to the powermeter in the headunit, then about and under about you should be able to see a if it says good or low. Sadly no % figure.

  • Thanks for the tip (although it appears to be a bit useless!)

Will be interesting to see what p2m say, less than half predicted life is pretty poor.
