Out door drinking (beer garden) options also include The Landor, The Falcon and The Sun but they are more Clapham direction.
If you want to go crazy then head to The Prince of Wales in Cleaver Sq, they can loan you sets of petanque for using outside in the square
not sure of any events on, I think there is something at the Doodle Bar in Battersea

I just discovered this a couple of weeks ago and it is very much good fun.

is that doodle bar back open ? went down a few times last year was closed each time, quite a cool little spot though.

oh and recommend cleaver sq even without the Petanque its just a nice place to sit.
