  • Does anyone know if the Jag wire racer cable kits are Campag Ultra Shift compatible? if so are they comparable in performance? Mixed opinions on the web

they are a few quid cheaper than Campags own ..

  • just found some info in the Q&A , seems to be 2 different versions, one fits Campag. Still not clear which is being sold, will stick with Campag's own to save the headache

  • If they are the double ended kits then they will be campagnolo compatible. they don't need to be ultra shift compatible as the cables used by campagnolo have not changed for a long time. About the only thing they have not changed. Campagnolo cables anyway are the best you can buy bar none.

edit powercordz are pretty good too but expensive for the weight saving.

  • Bought the same from Wriggle less than a fortnight ago: Campag and Shimano ends on all the cables.

Exceptional value for money and some nice touches: compressionless brake outers, with a length of spiral outer at the front to aid fitting to the bars and a good selection of ferrules.

    Gold end caps though...

Customer happy, but he insisted on white outers, so I'm not sure that counts for much! :)

  • Thanks Chaps, maybe Ill give them a shot.

@thecycleclinic - mentioned ultra shift as I think power shift outers are a smaller diameter, just to make clear I didn't need these.

Talking of white outers- why are Campag white so much more expensive than black?!
