Mistake buying thrive chicken treats yesterday. Now my cat won't let me sleep with sitting in her treats spot and calling out her slave all freaking night. Might have to let her OD on them tonight.

My poor Moses has a lame leg and is off his food and looking very sorry for himself :(
I cant see any wounds, swelling, sticking out bones, or glass or thorns in his paw, and he's not been crying, but he's not putting any weight on it, and will get him checked tomorrow morning if he's the same. I've run out of Metacam which is a pity. I just want to take the pain away!
Meanwhile I'm going to have a long, anxious evening trying not to check on him every 5 mins. :(

Yap, I called the vet at mid night when the cat vomited a few times. I also called the vet again when the cat had a small cut on her face. So yes I know, but I do hope he is just having a grumpy phase.

I want another cat, shall I get another cat? I think Patch would eat him/her for dinner, but I still want another cat...

Mine have been crap at mousing lately. I hadn't seen a live mouse here for years, until today when I opened a drawer in the kitchen.
All three of them have been taking it in turns to stakeout the kitchen for weeks, but have caught precisely zilch. So tonight I've laid traps...

As I'm sure you know, it is usually harder to bring a new cat in to the fold, the older your established cat gets - our grumpy cat is still hissing and swiping at my pair, three years on!

to be honest, I would want a dog, but I just don't have the time for it, cats are just better suited for my lifestyle / work patterns etc.

I have one of these tracks for Patch, the whole idea of this is the balls inside won't get out, so the cat could playing catching forever, or in the case of the other evening, the mouse... perfect mouse trap. FYI, Miss Mouse.

thanks. Although I'd say they were more my girlfriends than mine, I'm no chef.

Does anyone have any advice on how to encourage a cat to drink more water? Newton needs to up his fluid intake, but he doesn't seem keen on drinking water and really prefers his kibble to wet food. I've got them a cat fountain (which he used to quite like, but seems to have gone off it), and I've tried cat milk (which he'll drink a little bit of). Suggestions welcome.

Force feed the fussy bugger
Suspect number 2 had the good sense to stay out of reach until I left for work.
