a bit slow, but I meant to suggest Merrell Bare Access as worth a look. They're zero-drop but have about 10mm cushioning - for me this makes them OK for road running.
Their weight is about 220g for my size 11. The sole is entirely vibram and has lasted ~350km without wearing much at all, versus my first pair (Bare Access 1s), which had foam soles and weighed just 180g but were worn through under my big toe after 450km.
Some reviews said the fit is a bit funny - they have a bit of arch support, certainly the insole isn't totally flat.
All of my Inov-8 Road-X shoes are nearing end of life, and Inov-8 have kindly stopped making them, and there are no other pairs left anywhere on the internet, apparently.
So I now need replacement shoes - 250ish grammes, with minimal heal drop, and I like the lack of foam tread on the Inov-8s, as it meant less wearing down, and longer lived soles.
Any suggestions?
