NJS is old hat. Get the Jackson!

Tell us something of what you intend using the bike for.

I'd go for the Bob Jackson.
I have a Bob Jackson and a Samson (yeah, it's not a Nag but...) and the Bob Jackson is an all round better bike to ride.
Currently looking at Nagasawas now.... They're nice, eh?

Ok re what I'll use it for. Summer commuting, I have an All City Nature Boy that I built up earlier this year. It's mind blowing how different having a stiff frame is, ascents I can now take at a leisurely rpm and have dropped to 76" - all previous bikes have needed to be 66" ish due to the hills of Rossendale. Descents are so much easier due to the gearing but I do get to similar RPMs as before but the frame isn't skittish.
The plan is to use the All City this summer and into winter change from my Phil Wood hub / Mavic wheel 28mm tyres to BLB / 42 spoke Chukka rims with 38mm Continental Winter tyres. I'm planning on leaving the All City as a winter / bridle way ride and having the Bob / Nag for a lighter summer ride.Ps, I'm a big heavy bloke that varies between 15 stone and 17 1/2 stones depending on how much time I get to ride due to work commitments.

Yep they're nice, I just like the idea of riding a bike that a legend of Japanese bike building built in a scruffy little shop.....plus the kudos as well.

I'd say nagasawa, but I'm biased as i own one.

I am biased but think 853 is the shizz so I would go there.
Thinking for the future and fancy a Nag but a Bob Jackson 853 frame and 853 fork blades with Paul dropouts only comes in at a grand.
Is the Nag a much better bike? I know it's got more nostalgia / street cred or whatever, is it worth spending an extra grand?
