Colnago Extreme Power 57cm Traditional PR00 Frameset

Posted on
  • For sale is my Colnago Extreme Power frame and Star carbon fork. It is a size 57cm traditional geometry (55.6cm top tube) in PR00 (nude carbon with white graphics under clear coat.) 2008 vintage and one of Colnago's finest.

I am the second owner and I purchased the frame in spring 2012. It has been kept indoors and used exclusively for training rides in the summer and never in the wet. It is in immaculate condition apart from the usual small marks commensurate with use. The underside of the down tube and DS chainstay are taped and the only notable flaw is an area of cable rub to the lacquer on the head tube's NDS. Complete with seat clamp and red Chris King NoThreadset running smoothly. Takes a 31.6mm seat post.

Price for frameset £895 plus shipping (please contact me for estimate.) Payment via bank transfer or PayPal (buyer pays the fees.)

Genuine reason for sale; I have an extensive Colnago collection and this only has to go because I have just purchased two C59s and SWMBO has decreed that from now on it's 'one in one out'...

  • lovely .. want it cant afford at mo ...must resist

  • from now on it's 'one in one out'...

    sounds familiar...

  • Great Frames!

  • Indeed they are, it rides beautifully and I think you'd struggle to find a nicer used example. In an ideal world I'd be hanging on to it.

  • WOuld look lovely built up with Super Record on the wall next to my C40... Oh wait, the wall isn't big enough and my wallet isn't deep enough. Dammit

  • Price drop to £845. Please, no part-exchange offers.

  • Holy shitballs that is insane.

I'm absolutely not in the market for it, maybe in another life, but GLWS

  • Oof really nice! Do you have a geo chart for this? Colnago sizing seems like it can be a bit of a mystery. Have a free bump regardless!

  • Here you go, right in the middle of the 'standard' list:

  • Can people stop bumping this please? I'm getting more and more tempted to buy it, and I really can't afford to do so.

    Thanks.

  • Yeah I know, right? My size but maybe a little aggressive with a fully cut down steerer... I think that might be the best way to talk myself out of it...

Plus the fact that it's too nice to ride...

  • Plus the fact that it's too nice to ride...

This is why I've only ridden it on bone dry days and avoiding shitty/gritty roads. I'm not particularly OCD about my bikes but the frame was in such good nick when I got it I felt inclined to keep it that way. I have other bikes for racing/training/wet days.

  • Still available; price drop to £795. Frame is now stripped bar the headset and cups (new photos to follow).

  • Lovely frame..cheeky question. What's your height, got a feeling this is going to a fraction too big but worth asking for such a beauty!

  • No problem; I'm 1m82. I rode it with a BB to top of saddle height of 76cm and an 11cm stem.

  • Thanks for the measurements. As I thought it is sadly too big, my stumpy legs let me down! Good luck, hope it sells soon.

  • Bump, still available.

  • G'Day Mockenrue,

If you still have this frame and fork available I will take it please. Been after one of these for ages and only just stumbled across this site. PLEASE tell me you still have it.

Although I live in Melbourne, I am a Pommy, who moved out here about 12 years ago. My parents still live in the UK (East Sussex) and I would get you to send it to them, or maybe they could pick it up from you (COD). Either way, I guess first things first, do you still have it?
You can contact me at: russ_shaw68@yahoo.com.au.

    many thanks.

    Russell.
