My Apple monitor got trashed by ParcelFarce between the UK and Spain, cue long-winded insurance claim... Long story short, I had to leave the totalled display at my folks' place in Spain (insurer told me it should be available for inspection, I didn't wanna do any further damage by moving it) while I continued to Australia...
Insurer now wants a repair quote but the nearest repair centre is 600km away from my parent's place... Apple, or for that matter just about everyone I've spoken to in Oz, won't give me a quote without seeing it... I have photos of the damage and can describe what it's doing...
Any ideas on a solution? Do any of you guys work at a place that can give me an insurance quote?
It seems the only option I may have left is to get my parents to drive it to their local electrical shop and get them to look at it...
