  • I've got a similar problem with some gatorskins on some wider than normal rims with a profile like that shown by tester... almost no well.
    Every time I've had a puncture I've got a train home and then spent some time wrestling the tyre off and fixing at home.
    Perceivirance (however it's spelt) is the main thing.
    I'm going to build another wheel, it's defo the rim (a bargain at £5 for 48hole, now I know why), as I recently got a durano for the front and Kojak for the back, the kojak didn't fit in the stays, but the durano did(*). All three gatorskin, durano and Kojak were a nightmare to put on.

    *both 26x1.35 both made by schwable, both totally different sizes, wtf?

    perseverance has "sever" in it, and it's so full of Es that there's only room for one other vowel, the A near the end. Just think of the perseverance that an axe-wielding executioner who's had too many Es would need to sever the head.
