  • We should distinguish between balls and skills.

You need both for motorbikes, and I see a lots of balls around, you can tell from how they start from a traffic light and how they accelerate on the city roads.

But I'm afraid much less skilled ones, how I can tell?
Because I can read the geography on the surface of the tyres, how much cornering and how much weight has been delivered on it.

Then what it is a real sporty motorbike and the real specs of it would be a bit too long for now.

  • In London it is quite hard to get the bike over to the edge of a tyre especially a big 180-190, hence weekend fun or buying race part worns.

  • Poppycock - there was a time when 90+% of my 'spirited riding' happened in London. Principally because riding an hour to get out of town seemed like a schlep when there were a profusion of one way systems and industrial estates on my doorstep that were designed for knee-down goodness.

LA is exactly the opposite, the city is god awful to ride around but the surrounding hills are ace.
