• Being a mute, and unable to say 'Excuse me' must make life awkward for you at times like this Louis. That and being momentarily held up on your way to perform a life saving operation on an orphan child. It's easy to see why it would distress you so. I suppose a bell might be useful but then, being profoundly deaf as you are, you would never know it it was actually working and that might just add to your frustration. Are they ignoring my 'two tings' or has a ball of fluff got lodged behind the clapper? With your sky high blood pressure that sort of thing could finish you off altogether. I'd recommend abandoning the bike and seeing if there are any secure mental hospitals that have a bed going spare.

    @WillMelling, they were all women and you know how women scare me. One was even attractive and my age, so there was no way I could talk to her without drinking 2litres of cider and starting conversation by throwing up on her...
