  • yeah sure. will pm you now mate

  • Interested in the bontrager stem and seatpost.
    Pm coming.

  • Bontrager stem and seat post provisionally sold to trevox, pending collection.

  • Did the bontrager stem go

  • yeah its getting collected mate, sorry

  • Few bits still left. Anyone interested before they go to the bay?

  • Sorry to hear about your knee. No hope of recovery? :(

  • Thanks. Doesn't look like it in terms of riding fixed. Its been crappy for over a year now and even riding a rubbish gear hasn't helped enough. Sucks, but a reality check. Thinking of getting a little brompton, so I can escape the 242 journey of doom everyday.

  • I spent 3 months commuting on a bus. I have never felt so buried and stagnant as those three months. Even a motorbike would be better, if you find that you struggle with a Brompton as well.

  • PMed re. messenger bag.

  • yeah I think the brompton is wishful thinking. just riding a bike bothers it. nah motorbikes arent for me

  • that thing makes the bus look way more appealing haha

  • Motorcycles may be my next move as I'm thinking the more stories I hear about knee problems and other riders never being able to ride fixed again without pain doesn't sound like my future.
My knees are messed up. I can't even freewheel on a stationary bike yet. 4 months later. Next Physio is today fingers crossed.

  • @marcopolo sorry to hear that dude

  • I bought a Brompton when I had a massive knee op. It was really good as part of the rehab, plus if my knee played up I could just take it on the bus with me. Get a second hand two speed or something and see how you fare with it. Hope the knee gets better.

  • Thanks mate. Good to hear it helped. still in two minds about it. I was thinking the 3 speed because i need a really light gear for hills especially. How does the gearing feel on the 2 speed?

  • Two speed is spinny and then not so spinny, according to my colleague who has one. I have a single speed as my commute is basically flat, and that's largely just spinny. It's fine, it's a bike for not going fast...

  • yeah i need spinny, but certainly a really light gear for hills. i've been riding 42/18 and 42/17 for the last year and a bit and my knee is still shit
