def downsize for the merino / merino mesh in my experience. I have an XS merino mesh and merino longsleeve and could do with an xxs really
Pro team (non merino) seems less neccessary, xs is nice and snug.

Another quick one, glove recommendations? Leaning toward Pro team softshell but will my hands overheat? It doesn't get very cold here, just need something for the chilly mornings

I like the standard Winter glove, it works well with the glove liner too for cold days. The softshell glove is also a very good product.

Don't be put off by 'summer' - I use them on tempo rides from 8C up. I disagree with the reviews about the seams - you can feel them, but they're really soft, so not a problem.

Merino Gloves are lovely for chilly mornings, but not wanting to overheat. Nice, but etc...

Had a poke around for replacements for my City Riding trousers - not a fan of the Uniqlo ones, or any others I can find.
Would the archive store have a pile of 34/34 City Riding trousers I can purchase?

• #20610
Probably not. Might have stocked up on these, we can do a deal between fatties?

• #20611
Thanks will keep a look out for them

10% off code coming at ya in the post, and a reminder throwback to the #raphmagicbag days

All I can see is helmets?

I'm after some of the old V-Neck Merino Baselayers that Rapha used to make before I think their supplier dried up. XL or XXL. If anyone knows of a place to find such items, please shout out. Thanks

Except nothing of use or interest. TL;DR. Nice tinted mailbag though.

They had very few pairs of trousers when I was there ten days ago, and only in outlier sizes.

Dreamy photos of Pete Kennaugh though. And Dan from Nam for the bears.

My cheapo DHB bibs are dead, upgrade to classic, lightweight or pro-team?
-
• #20619
If you are in the UK aren't you considering the thermals? I've got the Assos version and they get a lot of wear. I wouldn't get the lightweights for 3 season wearing.
-
• #20620
got the pro + classic a few weeks ago. like them both but if i would have to choose i would keep the pro. more compression effect.
-
• #20621
Once you have slipped on a pair of Pro Team bibs there is no going back, they feel much more substantial than the classics. I have a pair that are four years old, have been crash repaired by Rapha (great job) and are still going strong. They cost more but will last longer.

I've got classics, PT and PT thermal. All three get plenty of use but the PT ones are dreamy...

Thanks chaps. I run very hot, didn't even use my thermals this year, normal bibs + over tights + baggies were plenty.
Pro team are in the lead then, how tall is tall enough for the longer version?
I'm 6'2" and mostly spindly leg.
-
• #20624
I have both versions, long and regular. I am 6' and prefer the regular length, if you have 'climbers' legs rather than Greipel trunks you may find the longer versions get a bit loose around the bottom over time (this is what I have found). Get both and send one back would be my advice.

Those hideous Sky Italia jerseys are back in stock.
FU ebay sellers.
Yep downsize. They stretch loads so go at least size smaller
