I drew inspiration for the hubs from this Legnano track bike:

Looking forward to seeing this built up, beautiful frame.

Brilliant. Love the colour, got a bad liking for pink bikes! Did you have this made for yourself? Just wondering as there have been so many issues with people receiving their frames etc. bring on the build! What bits u thinking? T

thanks MrMister and Husy. Tom, i did order it for myself. Pelizzoli are great, with your patience you would be a great customer if you ever order one. I am not gonna go to town with bits, keep simple, restrained.

Wonderful! Is it a new one?
-
• #9
it might be, because earlier ones do not have a badge on head tube, plus earlier ones have a bridge between chain stays whereas this does not.
-
• #10
great stuff though ;) like it a lot.

looks great.

thanks, soon i will find out if it performs as much.

these were 55£ more than those. (wish i had seen those before, not much separates them). if you do get them, they are compatible with JIS bottom bracket, not that it makes that much difference since these days JIS and ISO are mostly interchangeable.

cool, yep silly cheap. spotted a similar chainring for sale on here for £15, which means the crank arms and bolts ended up £10...
Your are certainly different on closer look, satin finish and sharper flutes, look a wee bit chunkier too.

Looks nice, much weight though. What tires are you running?
-

i am gonna be using these Coyote pro-tyres, 700x23c. -

The Sputnik are suitable to heavy touring. I've got them on my Holdsworth and they are though and heavy.
You sure you want them on your Track? Isn't it a bit of an over kill? Also as they were intended for touring, you sure 23c will be fine? I know they are recommended for 28c going up.

"I've got them.."
then you and I know very well, for our own good that wider rims: http://www.slowtwitch.com/Tech/Implications_of_Rim_Width_2803.html
but seriously, i bought them cause i wanted alloy box rims, without any thinking. after your observations, i might consider ryde chrina rims, they are alloy, 20mm wide and 17mm deep. would love to find alloy finish rims shallower than 17mm.
