Did the NVQ foundation couse in beer at The Beer Academy today with a view of continuing on to acquire the beer sommelier qualification
Good mixture of people in attendance. Guy from Hiver, new brewer from the Kernal, guy opening his own bottle shop, owner of the draft house chain, japanese journalist, a few beer bloggers and some employees from coors. Interesting day, tasted 12 beers which were all bog standard types (guinness, hoe, coors, becks, old speckled hen, pilsner etc). They go into more detail on the next course.
