as it stands looks like milner is now the " senior pro / father of the
league "Why? Because at 29 he is the oldest player and with 421 league and 551 overall appearances he has played more than anyone else and with 36 league goals and 57 goals overall, he is the league's top scorer?

But, time will arrive to make myself more clear, with more details too. Among trying to understand the meaning of your existence on this forum, and empowering it. -

Is this the football thread.
Anyway, the season is over, roll on the transfer window. I'm excited to see which top strikers we won't sign this year. Not that we need to. Ings and Origi will be a partnership many are worried about already.

Nice to see that the tide is turning towards realism:

Could someone explain what Gerrard did that Giggs and Scholes did not?
Scholes is certainly a better footballer and a better man than Gerrard could ever claim to be.
-
• #117238
...and I don't particularly like Scholes.
-
• #117239
I don't know, I'd say it's pretty close between those two. Scholes played on a lot of great teams. Gerrard did not.
It's hard to say how well they would have done if the roles were reversed.
Gerrard was clearly a very good player, but had some flaws. I feel Liverpool should have sold him a few years back, as we focussed on him too long, at the expense of the team.

I don't normally bleat on about the Liverpool meedja conspiracy, but fuck me the Gerrard wank-fest was/is ridiculous.
Anyway, enough of the past - time to look forward to the pinnacle of the sporting calendar. 58 years of hurt etc...

I thought Cameron was a Burnley fan? Or was it Scunthorpe? One finds it so hard to remember which claret and blues one supports.
