Hi ,thanks for the idea on blue, but I want to keep it mid '90s looking so that means white or celeste tape, along with a black Flite.
Found the front hub was on it's last legs on inspection. The bearing surfaces were pitted. A new one came today,So, an hour after starting to take the wheel apart, I have a stripped, rebuilt, trued, tensioned and tyred one!
Also, I gave up on the Bianchi touch-up paint and went into Tesco with the frame. Ta-da!Not a bad match tbh. A bit light maybe, but I'm pleased with it.Here's a couple more pics.
The top of the seat tube was bare metal, and there's some touch-in paint just above and to the left of the Columbus sticker. Hope to do the rest over the weekend.bt
dark blue bartape ftw! (and saddle too - it is a real pain to source one that matches the tape but dark blue compliments the celeste so well.. imo.)
