We sold Lascelles to Newcastle for £5m, and he looks miles off being a Premiership player (although Newcastle might resolve that problem for him) so Mings is definitely worth £7m.

Get in Spurs. Safe again - thank fuck for that.

You also wasted more than that on Assombalonga...

WD Leicester - Fucking Awesome few weeks

Cresswell was a bargain for West Ham really. He had a bit more experience before being sold, so the buyer knew they weren't getting a one season wonder.
I'm not saying Mings is a bad player at all, but he was rated lower than Craig Forsyth statistically for his position this season and I don't think I'd expect to get any more than £1m if we ever sold him! If Mings has another standout season then I'm sure his value will be closer to £7-10, I just don't see anyone gambling that much on him this summer.

Innit. Said they'd easily stay up at the start of the season, was a bit closer than that but the decision to keep Pearson is fully vindicated.

Worth every penny to win the Brian Clough trophy :)

Fair enough... maybe we're not out of the woods just yet.

Why was Gerrard given a guard of honour? He hasn't won the premier league.
-
• #117211
Mings has some good attributes, but I've seen him a lot this season and he's never looked PL quality. I think Bishop is more likely to be our next big money move. Mings will end up at West Brom or someone like that, if he does move up.
I was surprised that Alex Bruce and Gareth McAuley left and got regular games in the prem. Though the latter is probably down to his dad.

Why was Gerrard
Is it because everyone is sick and tired of the bleating cunt?
Good luck to him in his new position of course.

Southampton are sexy, and that's not just Pelle.
They look scary going forward and some of those goals were cracking.

Now that football has ended the biggest loss would be to lose Clive's
wiseness. I hope his rocambolesco writing of culture, art, science,
fiction and appearance find at least a new shelter. But would be
better to have it redistributed around, in different forms, rather
than have it locked behind a caveau fortress while insuring
conservation. Now that his confidence in choosing colours has been
improved to the power of rad I don't see why would be a problem to be
back in life like the old times with the addition of experience, and
great knowledge of history. That would be a priceless source of indoctrination and inspiration.
A sincere wish.
Thank you marcom.
I have popped this through Google Translate a few times and come up with:
Ora che il calcio ha finito la più grande perdita sarebbe perdere
wiseness Clive . Spero che la sua scrittura audace di cultura, arte ,
scienza, narrativa ed estetica almeno trovare un nuovo rifugio. Ma
sarebbe meglio averlo ridistribuito in giro , in forme diverse ,
ispirazione .Un augurio sincero.
Which translates as:

have it redistributed around, in different forms , rather than doing

the old days with the addition of experience and great knowledge of
history .This would be a valuable source of indoctrination and inspiration .
A sincere wish.
Still none the wiser but thank you for the sentiment.
We got 3.5m(rising to 6 or so dependant on appearances etc) for cresswell from west ham and he was their player of the season by a distance. Mings is younger, taller, quicker and potentially more talented so I think 7m is reasonable although I'm obviously deluded. I think he'll end up at centre back quite soon. Really hoping Newcastle go down as quite a few of their fans probably do also....
