First time it happened to Lotus. Happened to Williams before. It was just a cracked fastener that failed on the forward edge of the engine cover. Caught the wind and ripped open in the breeze. At 200+mph it looks quite spectacular. But not really that major.

Suddenly the next grade up of fastener looks like good value

No more 2.3 second pit stops though. There'll be time to wash the cars.

Given that the cars will be mainly electric by then surely this means 2 hour pitstops?

Cars will be around 6 seconds faster per lap, too.
I've notice in the last couple of years, the drivers don't look particularly worn-out at the end of each race. I think its become too easy or slow.

Take the fucking wings off and make them really drive the things.

And get rid of DRS and Pirelli.

And bring back manual gearboxes.
And get rid of the KERS.
And bring back proper qualifying, with one run, on quali tyres, on as little fuel as possible.

Naturally aspirated V8s would be good too. About 3.5 litres.

And maybe fuck off all these boring new middle and far eastern circuits and run races on things with a bit of excitement. Like Brands Hatch, Monza with the banking, Spa, Daytona. The Circuit of the Americas can stay though. That is cool.
