What does he mean when he says the crown race is "too thin"?
Wanted to ask that too.
But the combined problem of hard to find French headset and a steerer cut too short may be an invitation for new forks (unless original ones are special/pantographed to match frame...)?
I havent been down to have a look yet but I think he means either the race doesnt quite make it all the way down the fork, or that it's too loose?! I told them to fit it as best they can anyway cus I'll photograph it and perhaps that'll be more helpful.
