  • Yesterday's rain was bloody brilliant. Mudflaps baby, mudFLAPS.

  • Did it rain yesterday? I didn't really notice, was only drizzling a little by the time I went home. Leaving the office late = winning (sarcasm alert: pissing your life always working late =/= winning).

  • Totally read that in my head in Nic's voice <3 <3 <3

  • I've an asssaver that came out. Turns out they don't fit B17s very well.

Also I was wondering if you've got any time to do a restamp? After almost 5 years it could do with a touch up

  • 1Hr 16Min 59Sec. Bit nippy when I left but very pleasant all the same.

Todays commute expressed as a popular 1970's Dessert = Arctic Roll.

I was laughing so much when she sent it to me!!

  • Sure - that looks like a pathetic stamp job by me, can improve on that no bother.

Also will insist on phone or postcode on reverse as well. New policy to assist possible recovery if stolen.

  • Todays commute expressed as a popular 1970's Dessert

Wonder how long you'll keep this up.

  • Love a bit of rain, especially with the aforementioned flaps.

Side streets jam-packed through Bloomsbury last night, presumably because people don't even umbrella any more.

  • 2 more go's. Still got Baked Alaska and Egg Custard to go yet. What shall I move onto next ? (other than another forum) :)

  • Bro, do you even pudding?

    Crumble. There must be crumble.

  • My commute was lovely this morning. Everything was grey and wet when I awoke, but by the time I was ready to roll the sun was out, the slugs were racing up and down my newly laid garden path and the traffic up the OKR was awful yet again. Hit a shedload of red lights. Got swamped by a shoal at the lights at both ends of Southwark Bridge, rolled gently along to work and then forgot to change into work clothes until about 11.

Cobbler - what's that all about? Is it a pudding or a cake? And what happens if you barf it up over Jodie Foster's Kokoschka catalogue?

  • Spotted Dick

Must stay out of the woods.

  • "Do you even Pudding?" ... you seen my name? :-)

Crumble is timeless. Cobbler, even more timeless(erer). I was thinking of drifting into 80's Desserts next month possibly. Oh the joy expressing one's commute as a Viennetta.

  • 70's deserts google'd

    Rum Baba
    Cheesecake
Soufflé [various hot or cold - a 60s favourite that was still popular]
    Summer Pudding
    Baked Alaska
    Ice cream [run and raison/chocolate/vanilla]
    Brandy Snaps
Banana Split [the Galloping Gourmet- Graham Kerr - claimed to have invented this!]
    Crème Brûlée
    Syllabub

  • Is there a Pudding or Desserts list? Maybe we can start one with recipes.

My favourote school pudding was called "Teddies in Space" which was chocolate angel delight with small, chopped up pieces of chocolate floating in it.

@Skülly Dude, it has had my fat ass on it for 5 years, I believe it is aclled "erosion" but PM coming!

  • "Teddies in Space" which was chocolate angel delight with small, chopped up pieces of chocolate floating in it

    Genius.

  • Thanks Cornish, thats another 10 commutes worth there!

  • We've still got Instant Whip in reserve. A poor man's Angel Delight.

  • always been a life ambition of mine to eat a washing up bowl full of butterscotch angel delight. with a teaspoon, obvs.

  • Just got off the phone to my 80 y/o Mum.

Gypsy Tart and Jam Roly Poly.

Thats next Weds and Fri sorted then.

  • I hope we don't get an Upside-down cake.

  • Deffo trying to avoid that one.

  • Knickerbockerglory, deffo aiming for one of these though.

  • Amazing commute this morning. Has a client in Hampstead to see first so a lovely trip across from Seven Sisters, nipping the corner off the Heath (someone needs to tell Google that the majority of paths there are 'no cycling') before getting momentarily lost in the streets just beyond. Then hammered down the hill to Camden, picked up the canal and blammed around to Canary Wharf (leaving and rejoining at the Islington tunnel, naturally). Averaged 15kph and had I not got lost and pootled a bit in Hampstead, I would've been closer to 20.

I love cycling on company time...
