It was water based fence paint from Tool Station or Screwfix, can't remember which... I'd avoid that chipboard type stuff and get marine ply or concrete shuttering, no need to worry about the weather then...
The Brisbane kids used second hand shuttering for the removable side at their old court, three years old and still looks good as new... And this is Queensland, mad amounts of tropical heat, humidity and rain...
