Just upgraded to mavericks, iphoto no longer works, as I've just jumped from 10.6.8 to 10.9 anyone got iphoto 9.5 or later? Don't want to have make the move to yosemite just to look at a decades worth of photo's..

Just had a jolly chat with Timmy and he says he doesn't give a shit and will carry on bring up half decent machines out once every 3 months, coz he clearly doesn't care about the professional customers like Apple once did. Timmy told me to say sorry on his behalf.

dude, I've been rocking 10.6.8 for the last 4 years, finally got a computer that can run 10.7 and up and I won't be moving over to any new osx probably until they put out the yosemite replacement..

Yes, you would have to have bought the item directly from the seller, so buying an iPhone from O2, you'd have to take it up with them, but it'd be hard, because not that many compaines, as far as I know, are as open as Apple about the EU / UK consumer rights law.

You could get it repalced in Hong Kong, yes, but you'd have to fly all th way there to make it not worth it, and trust me, being someone who come from HK originally, I don't even buy Apple products from HK despite the clear price difference. The whole place is different, if you are stuck with a substandard product, well good luck. Apple might be a better worldwide, but taking the bent iPhone as an example, there were stats showing which parts of the world people were about to get their iPhone exchanged and where they counldn't and I remember seeing UK having one of the highest stats of success rate. In Aisa, it's the opposite.

Put it this way, using my recent experience with Apple for example, it would have been the end of the road for me a long time ago and I would have been stuck with a machine that doesn't work because there is nothing clearly wrong with it, as such. Every single one of my HK friends think I am mad trying to argue with Apple, you guys and my other friends, think I am entiteld to a machine that works. There is the difference.

no need to worry, have found a version of iphoto that I can useon mavericks and installed it, the internet is a wonderful thing sometimes..

Got an iPad mini 2 with a cracked screen, does anyone know of a reputable place in london that can fix it for me? Google gives me plenty of options but would really appreciate some recommendations

MBP screen replaced free of charge, turns out the LB and GC were OK... If they do go they'll get replaced for free as well... Could've been MUCH worse...

Now waiting to get a repair quote for my Thunderbolt from a dodgy third party Mac repair place... I'll probably have to shell out for it but that's gonna be better than stumping up for a brand new machine... Insurance companies are such cnuts, who knew?!?
