This and the Park Tool equivalent work well enough, but I'd prefer something like the BBB.

The BB cups have "stops" at the end of the grooves to keep the wrench centred, which the lockrings don't, so when applying torque I find the wrench can slip.

Possible mod for lockring 2.0?

More likely a "Lockring Tool 1.0" mating a driver with a stop on it to a set of sprocket teeth, so you can use your chain whip to remove the lock ring. Phil already does this for his lock rings, but I'd be aiming for something more compact and in one piece
