serious question on my part. I've never been part of that debate, but I wonder how the common projects shoe above is worth a hundred and eighty odd quid more than some stan smiths

It basically goes 'do you like/want the shoe enough to pay the asking price'. That is it really. I'm with you on that shoe, but there are shoes I would pay that for.
