Ironman Corp is barest of jokes. Who thinks it's good for the sport to run lotteries and corporate auctions for places in a supposed world championship event (other than the tattoo brigade)? No sport should be run by venture capitalists more concerned with licensing official M-dot mattresses and aftershave than developing the sport. On the bright side, the UK has more iron distance races than any other country on the planet, so you can do the distance without all their corporate hoopla.
