I've got one of these racks that I've never fitted that I'd sell for £38 (what it cost me inc delivery)

It is ugly, but i'm not loving the sweaty back syndrome from carrying all my shit

How did you attach after drilling, just put the rack stays on the axle outside of the forks or did you have to put a washer to push them out from the fork slightly?
Also, reckon it can be mounted with a brake on the front?

Like so, there's a washer on the inside AFAIR
I'm running a front brake no problem, you just need to take the brake calliper off and run the supplied screw through it with a couple of washers.

Bit like I telling people about 650b and now everyone want it.

I tried twice and decided against it

Racks suck on track & road bikes imo. Looks cool but steers like shit when loaded!

TCB Pret A Porteur, bit pricey but it's been super useful in the past year, carried all sorts on there.

Quick question for the racksters on here..
If I wanted a custom rack fork for a 80/90s steel track bike, we go bit longer and less rake, right?
so 375-380mm a-c and 23-30mm rakeish.
Has anyone ridden similar or is it silly and abort thinking now.

Just seen the felt...love it. What seat post?

Very nice ride, got a couple of questions. Does the washer come when buying the rack? And is it possible to put it upside down so that the rack seats lower?

Probably the other way around, if you add weight to the front of a bike you usually want to reduce the trail, otherwise the steering gets heavy.

I don't think it's too ugly. Def not best looking but not too bad...
The bit that attaches it to the bars is a bit meh, so am just going to bungee jump and cable tie it on... And a bolt has already sheared in the attachment bit so build quality def not the best but it is big enough to fit lil toko, who will soon be cruising in style.
Also something else to note, the one on amazon has 2 bars on the back section, the one I got sent has 3... Actually better for me in this situation but might be annoying if you wanted it slightly smaller.

Fucking hell, you're planning on putting a Frenchie on your brakeless rack bike, with a sheared bolt and bungeed on mounts?
Fuck. That. Get a more suitable bike or setup for the purpose if that's the case, please. I'd never dare put my dog on a front rack. My Frenchie weighs nearly 10kg and that is more than enough to fuck up the handling.

Cheers man.
Yup the rack comes with all the washers you need, just not the axel mount as I said earlier.
I never thought about flipping it, that's really interesting. The rack does sit very high, so high in fact that I used the MTB attachment rather than the road one. You might be onto something there.

how about a small Philipino?
You should be fine to run the gamoh with that clearance at the fork crown. My front wheel is a hex bolt skewer though, so I haven't needed to do the drilling like birofunk had to.
The Basil is just so ugly...
