I don't think it's too ugly. Def not best looking but not too bad...
The bit that attaches it to the bars is a bit meh, so am just going to bungee jump and cable tie it on... And a bolt has already sheared in the attachment bit so build quality def not the best but it is big enough to fit lil toko, who will soon be cruising in style.
Also something else to note, the one on amazon has 2 bars on the back section, the one I got sent has 3... Actually better for me in this situation but might be annoying if you wanted it slightly smaller.

You should be fine to run the gamoh with that clearance at the fork crown. My front wheel is a hex bolt skewer though, so I haven't needed to do the drilling like birofunk had to.
The Basil is just so ugly...
