• Is anyone after a mixte 650B project?
It has no rear brake and the front brake is weak so it is not rideable

I have a 1986 52cm Starnord bike (54cm TT projected), steel frame with drum brakes.
Full mudguards, side stand, dynamo, swept back bars, chainguard.

It was a 3 speed which I have turned into a singlespeed so I removed all the gearing kit and fitted a 16T freewheel and a new 1/8th KMC chain.
I was trying to adjust the drum brakes as they were (still are) super weak and the rear action lever arm (on the hub) snapped so now is has no rear brake. Pedals are knackered too.

The ideal solution would be to source a replacement rear drum brake hub (good luck with that).
The 'easiest' solution would be relacing the rear wheel with a fixed hub or even a coaster hub.

I had this bike in my backgarden for too long and spent about £50 on new tyres, freewheel and chain so I had enough now.

Yours for free if you purchase 2 cases of my family Champagne.
Or £50->sold for £40 to recoup my spending would be nice...

(it does not ride safely so you would need to be picked up with a car or ghost-ride it).

  • Hi ,
    Sent you a Pm
    Pick up from where?
    Thanks

  • Knew I forgot something - Pick up from Brixton Hill please.

  • Price Drop to £40 or free if you purchase 2 cases of my family Champagne

  • What's your family champagne like?
I'm going to show this to my daughter when she gets home?

  • @Fintan We are a small family grower vineyard located in La Neuville Aux Larris in the Marne Valley, between Reims & Epernay.

Out Brut Non-Vintage is 100% Pinot Meunier, assembled from 3 harvests (2007/2008/2009) and lighly dosed, making it light, fresh and fruity. It is our best-seller and trade prices per bottle start around the £20 mark.

More information about our range on our website: http://www.lasseaux.com
And a lot of nice photos on our instagram feed http://www.instagram.com/champagnelasseaux

    Thanks

    Vince

  • Add a coaster hub and you have a great little runabout... £15 only for a Shimano one on eBay:

  • Pm'd

  • Still available?

  • It has been paid yesterday and will be picked up next week.

So the bike is gone but I still have plenty of champagne...

    Thanks for the interest!
