any of you guys print your digi stuff? If so, what/who do you use?
I use an online printing service, send them high-res files, and they print them pretty nicely.
If I had a proper printer I might use this, though I've had more than enough faff with these fucking ink catridges etc. - it's actually cheaper to let them print it, also they do have some very nice paper.. -

cheers @rive_gauche - yea, in the summer it's nice..

I'd go for 'custom lorries' or 'lorry customisations', but there certainly isn't a clear candidate.

..thanks Oliver - both for the suggestions, and for making me listen to Alphaville!

@photoben Ahhh...the 35 drowned on a trip to dorset. Dirty flipping winds. so I got a 28 to replace it, but got bored of people's nostrils so got a good 'ol fashioned 50.
@thross @Olly398 Thank you gentlefolk. It's more fire first, run away into the distance swiftly after.
@tina.kino Cheers bud. Not as happy with the processing tbh. I'm itching for that bland, neutral colours kinda look. Seems to be all the rage.
Really digging your hypertrucks as well! First mattresses, then hobo vans. Have you seen any mattresses ON hobo vans yet? -

Don't believe the hype.

Cheers man..
..actually last year I did photograph somebody sleeping on the roof of his van/truck thing parked right on a super-busy street on a sunday fornoon - obviously shitfaced.Oh, while on the subject - there actually was a homeless person on one of those abandoned mattresses the other day (first time I've seen this), and I've just debated whether to approach her and ask if I could take a picture, but she was yelling things and throwing orange peels at everybody, so I moved on.

and even if you had a strap, if you dropped it while holding it in your hand / shooting, it will >not help you much ...
I wrap my strap around my hand and carry the camera. It goes over my shoulder in crowds. It gets bashed about but it doesn't get dropped.
-

Ditto. Best of boat worlds. Strap wrapped around the wrist a few times looks srs too.
-
• #9791
Yea I did that wrap-strap-around-wrist for a while as well.
It did do the job, but it also did drive me crazy, just always this fucking strap.I did use this kind of grip with a 40D -
...if the thing fits you don't really need to hold on to the camera much, as your hand is sort-of wedged in there even if you let go of the grip.
This is cool for walking around and having the camera ready long periods of time.
Not cool if you have big body or grip, if you're switching to portrait and back often.
Plus you kinda look like a tool. So, for me, the easiest and best solution is to have none of this shit, just "not let go" of the camera, and put it in a proper (read: easy-access) camera bag when it gets heavy / you're not shooting soon.
over my shoulder in crowds. It gets bashed about
One time a guy bumped a borrowed camera and lens hanging from my shoulder.
He himself had a tote bag with a glass bottle over his shoulder. -
• #9792
Yeah. I get you.
In the environment I shoot in: no strap = no cam. You WILL drop it!
I cant get on with those hand grips either, though.Have you tried the tripod mount straps with the QR?
This is my fave method though. Plus I cant swim very well and it doubles as a floatation aid. ;)
-
• #9793
Haha, what the fuck is this?
And what do you shoot?
-
• #9794
Have you tried the tripod mount straps with the QR?
No, never tried. Basically I'm happy with my "method", also my main reason to switch to Nikon was their pro bodies fitting my hands perfectly, so I'm not screwing any tat on it now

Makes sense.
Its a EWA bag. I shoot festivals and parties, raves etc. No art, just fun.
Its a hobby/blagger passtime for me though really. -

Excellent, really like that a lot. Reminds me I've got to get out and find some bluebells before they wither.
