Cannondale Aficionados / Owners

I'd really like a white headshok boot, was thinking of trying to cut down a 4x4 jeep gaiter in white to see if the diameter is close, any ideas, do you reckon it could work?
There was a grey one that came on some of the G-star cannondales a few years back
