I've done the HPI check and there are no fines or ownership issues and the owner has the original V5/2 or whatever for the change of owner details which means there's no charge to register it in my name now.
The guy seems legit, I know where he lives, works and what he drives and he is going to give me the name and address of the guy he bought it from as well just in case there is any trouble.
I've definitely talked myself into it by now. Already looked for lowering springs...

Careful as there might be outstanding fines or something on it.
May cost to get a new v5 and then the owner might come out of the wood work. Do you trust the guy you are buying it from?
