  • @tyeness
I got a Gamoh and spent a few weeks with cable ties holding the mudguards in place (Chromoplastic, not as heavy as the VO ones!). I didn't want to share the eyelets like you did because the SKS fittings are quite wide and made of plastic, didn't trust them not to crush/break when I did up the rack.
Ended up spending a few minutes last weekend drilling a small hole through each of the mounting tabs at the bottom so I could bolt the stays straight onto there. Looks reasonably tidy, especially when I get round to mounting them on the inside rather than on the outside.

You might need to bend the piece of metal they give you for mounting to the fork crown. Once I'd tweaked it I got the rack sitting level. You'll need a bench vice and some elbow grease.
(I'll post a pic when I get the chance).

  • Yeah I have those SKS plastic bits. I was wondering what was underneath the quick-release part, whether it'd just be a little loop like the rear mudguard has. I tought that would be much lower profile.

Drilling the rack is deffo a good idea though! Would love to see a pic!
