A friend just got offered a job at wiggle, they included a bag of haribo in the letter containing his contract, this made me smile..
-
• #378
Then the guy working in there told me that nobody makes 27.2 seatposts as they are not a standard size and my only option was to buy a Thomson. Nobs.
Totes nobs.
they included a bag of haribo in the letter containing his contract
I take it back.

And another one in Milton Keynes which Wiggle told me about because it was in my area here in SE13
-
• #380
SE13 is only 70 minutes away by car duh.
-
• #381
You could get to MK and back in your lunch hour. Maybe.
-
• #382
I've done SE13 to Cambridge in less than that when in a rush. Stupid Wiggle.
-
• #383
Yeah but Cambridge is not as long to drive to as MK because M1.
-
• #384
PS where did that grumpy sod nimbhus go?

• #385
just seen the new wiggle advert during the tour of yorkshire
vommed in my mouth a little bit, makes me want to stop cycling

Just ordered some small bits from wiggle and thought they would surely go royal mail... But I just got a delivery deadline email from DX. Noooooooo.
I'll probably be buying elsewhere in future. Serves me right for not going to a LBS I guess.
-
• #387
Both my recent Wiggle orders (last two weeks) have come via Royal Mail.
-
• #388
It's seems to be roulette... I've not noticed a pattern. Maybe different distribution centres or something?
-
• #389
Any idea when Wiggle might be doing on of their "spend £100 and get £10 off / spend £200 get £30 off" kind of offers? Are they normally around the same time each year? Want a few things but don't want an offer to pop up after I get them.

Wiggle just told me - via the live chat thingy - that 27.2 Thomson Droppers have been discontinued. I queried this citing restock dates that other suppliers are showing and the Wiggle rep replied along the lines of, "Err, maybe they aren't discontinued then but we aren't stocking them anymore".
Happy to take my business elsewhere...

Happy to take my business elsewhere...
I seem to have done that without trying, less than 5% of my bike spending went to Wiggle in the past year, in the olden days I was always on the highest level of their rewards scheme.
-
• #392
Yeah, been spending less there recently too. That might have coincided with the cessation of the British Cycling discount.
Thing is they have a really good price (better than CRC) for th brakes I've been thinking about so was gonna drop a lot of money with them. Oh well.

My god the advert they're airing on every tdf break is fucking terrible.
I used to like wiggle, having second thoughts now.
-
• #394
This ^^

3 orders placed with wiggle in the last month. Only one pack of Haribo. Unimpressed.
-
• #396
Is there a "inadequate haribo content" box to tick under reason on the free returns form?
-
• #397
My daughters are still in a grump because dad's promise of Haribo proved to be a lie.
Fuck Wiggle.
-
• #398
I might have split my orders up to maximise haribo gainz. Which they're clearly wise to.
-
• #399
Personally I think it's disgusting when they send me the gels. Each to their own.

As for the advert on ITV4 at the moment.... FFS I have literally been forced to complain about it. Came so close to taking an angle grinder to all of my bikes, buying a fuck off big 4WD and a blindfold and doing lots more sunday morning surrey hills driving when i saw that advert. Absolute arseholes.
You're talking about it; The advert worked. Well done for doing them a favour.
They had a pop up shop like that near me for a couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure they sent me the wrong sized seat post during the time the pop up shop was there just so I had the "convienience" of returning it in person. Then the guy working in there told me that nobody makes 27.2 seatposts as they are not a standard size and my only option was to buy a Thomson. Nobs.
