Cheers, it's a bit of a mish mash at the moment. Things will improve in the future, just wanted to get it running as soon as possible. It's bloody fun to ride! I'll probably post up a current project thread at some point.

cheers greeno, just waiting on a mike burrows wheelset to see how it ties in with the black - haven't heard great things but for $50 its worth a go.

Very nice!
I have an Atlanta wheel set laced to 600 hubs. Was going to use it on the above but alas...
Definitely needs quill stem!

Does anyone have any experience from buying bikes/frames from marketplats. I understand that's the best place to find Concorde stuff though no one seems to want to post to UK. Anyone else had this problem or knows of a sneaky way to avoid it?

hey, yeah I was living in holland, hence why you see me lurking around this thread. concordes are ten a penny there, i've bought 3. marktplaats is great, but you won't often get people to post you stuff, it's mostly people who don't want the hassle. it's also pretty informal, people bid, but the bids don't mean anything and sellers can do as they please. it's a dutch specific site, hence they don't advertise on there with the intention of selling abroad. there's no way to avoid it, you just ask them to post, and they either will or they won't. They mostly won't unless they're bike dealers, in which case you prob won't be grabbing a bargain anyway (or they'll be selling them on here). i'm not there at the moment and it's looking doubtful i'll return, but if i was i'd have offered to pick stuff up for you.
though i should really be saying....keep your mucky paws off my cheap concordes, i don't want people catching on.

I sold my old one to fund the new single speed commuter build, fine for pootling around the city but trips back to norfolk and summer ride in Norway will need something more substantial. Nice concorde frame with a modern groupset etc would be ideal but slightly afraid of building a geared bike.

Think I'm going to pop the Open Corsa SC's on it next week

I like how the bird theme (columbus and concorde logos) perseveres into the choice of bottle holder, strong.
Open Corsas will look really classy on this, works well with the blue.

And the wings of the Campag logo ;-)
I'd love to say it was deliberate...but it's just kinda happened!
