Anyone have good/bad experiences with rosebikes?

I've ordered quite a few things from them in the past. They've always arrived promptly. My dyna hub front wheel was built by them and is still true. They seem to respond to emails quite quickly as well if you need to speak to them.

Depends on the shape of your feet, shoes and pedals.

Got some rims pretty quickly off them. Good price. No complaints.

I dont know about all the wheels, but I was in conversation with them about building up a pair that wasn't listed on their site so I assume they build some of them.
I was quoted € 132,00 at the time for Mavic A119 plus Tiagra hubs, which i thought was a pretty good deal, but i bought the dynamo hub one instead.

I emailed about a dynamo hub wheelset and as they had none of them listed with disc hubs I asked about it being swapped and they said it would only be €4 more which if they are legit is really good for just charging me the difference between the hubs. I then asked about paying with paypal and they said it wasn't possible, just don't want to order and have them post out a non disc set or have them suddenly go "well we said €4 but we mean loads as we didn't explain the extra charges properly"

To me, that sounds like they are building them to order (well they might have stock of popular combos) so are just going to use the other hub when they do build it.
Maybe send one more email for confirmation stating exactly what you want and then pay with a credit card. If anything goes wrong (I don't think it will) your cc provider should sort it out.

German retailers don't like Paypal and have some generally strange conventions for buying online. Rose are legit though.

Out of interest what wheel/hub are you going for?

These(or something similar) but with disc hubs instead. Could build the bike up with mini v brakes instead to save the faff but would be nice to get it sorted.

Is it possible to fit something like a powergrip strap on Brompton pedals?

Thank you.

I'm sure this has been asked a gazillion times but where is a good place in London to try on a variety of cycle shoes, particularly Sidis?

I have a few questions for the hive mind:
Should I buy a 2015 genesis equilibrium disc frameset or the croix de fer instead? Is there much difference between the two?
Can anyone recommend a cheap wheelset to go with the above? (should I go 650b?)
Where the cheapest place to get a pair of trp spyres? And, are these the still the best option if not going full hydro?

It has, and I think the consensus now is Sigma out in Hampton Wick. None of the previous central London Sidi stockists seem to stick them anymore.

My company is renting a flat for myself and two colleagues as part of a long-term out of London project. As the senior member of staff, am I in a position to demand the best room?

See how your underlings act before exerting your authority, and treat them accordingly in future.

^Do this and they'll never respect you, and will likely pee in your milk.
You have to assert your authority from the get go - go straight to the largest room, beat your chest, piss in the corners, then charge at the two junior members of staff whilst making fierce eye contact.

Can anyone recommend me a tailor in Central/South? Has to be good because they're going to be expanding my wedding suit to accommodate my enormous arse.

Crikey - so you'll have to live AND work together!
I think you might seem like a bit of a twat if you demand the best room, tbh. This is the 21st Century.
Unless you actually pay their wages and/or they are extremely irritating and/or you're living in Downton Abbey*.

Tnx, was wondering if a three straps solution using both combinations has ever been tried and if it's any better at offering grip with normal trainers.

What makes it the better room?

I need to shim a front mtb mech. Frame is steel and 28.6. My mech is 31.8. It's all 7 speed so I have to stick with what I've got.
I've tried the beer can option but it just won't stay put.
I'm about to buy this http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/wheels-manufacturing-1-1-8-inch-318-mm-to-1-inch-286-mm-front-derailleur-shim-prod18555/
Unless anyone can suggest another option? Ta.
The Camberwell Dental Care on Church St has been my place for 4 years, can't complain.
