I'd not buy it. Hard to tell if it is a removable cup or not, but even so it's been hit very close to where the carbon head tube is, if the head tube hasn't been hit as well, and although it's easy to be overly hysterical about carbon, there is some truth in the hysteria, especially somewhere as safety as the head tube. 0/10 would not bang.

As above.
Carbon will have sprung back from the impact, alloy cup has not.Not conclusive proof its going to fail, and TBH there is a cubic abundance of material round the front of most head tubes anyways, but, unless its going mad cheaps and you aren't going to be constantly thinking about it then probably wouldn't bother myself.
Hi all, I won a carbon Planet X frame off ebay at the weekend in a bit of haste and just noticed the dent in the headset cup.
The seller says he doesn't know anything about bikes so has no idea about it.
Is this usable still?
I haven't paid yet so can still pull out, I did tell him about this but just want to check.
Any help would be great.
