  • Land at 08.20, leave at 12.00... I'm on a tight schedule...

  • Was just temporarily blinded by the sun, then blinded by hail hitting my eye at the same time.

  • S'wet though eh...

  • Bit late but, yep although he is busy.

  • Very masculine winds?

  • We had a crazy storm down here in Oz at the end of last week, over 48 hours of continuous rain... At the storm's worst we got over a foot of water in under an hour... It was amazing, loved it...

Back to 27°c and bright sunshine today, lovely, cool autumn weather... #winning

  • Gusting to 71 apparently.

Anyone got a disc wheel I can borrow?

  • Crikey. That'll be a head wind for me on the way to collect little mashton from nursery. 9 miles of that may well be enough to make me late.

    Hmmm.

  • Looking forward to the ride in though. I has shiny new waterproof jacket to test out. Rain and a tail wind is just the ticket.

  • Undo the zip and hold your arms out for full effect

  • S'windy eh

  • It didn't bloody rain, did it.

  • The @mikec effect...

  • Cycled to work in full waterproofs. Big heavy over-trousers on top of jeans and a horrible jacket.

Needless to say, I was soaked in ball-sweat when I got to work.

  • it's that cross over time of year, from it looks cold outside therefore it is, to, it looks cold outside but it's actually quite warm and muggy
wardrobe errors are abound mid spring
i wrapped up like it was -5c and monsoon conditions for a visit to the supermarket
this morning only to find it most pleasant out and sunny
    gore-tex plus fleece really unnecessary

  • You do all know that there is a lejog tandem record attempt going on right now with that tail wind !

  • So my eyes died on the way to a hospital appointment. What was supposed to be an easy 8 mile cruse to the hospital ended up something like this:

Head wind up a hill, turn left, head wind, turn right, head wind, do a 180 turn, head wind, "aaargh my eyes!" (fourth small object finds get's blown into my eyes), go handless to rub them, massive gust of wind nearly pushes me over...

Took me a good few hours to get all the nasty tree shit out my eyes. I guess at least I was on the beater, not rocking the PX with 88mm deep rims.

  • Need moar wind pls

  • Dat tailwind

  • such rain

  • Rain, there was hail.

Waltham way was flooded to such an extent my feet were underwater at the bottom of the pedal stroke.

Would ride in these conditions again 110%

  • Have come to Cornwall for a brief holiday. Brought a bike with me, but gusts of wind at 50mph are not encouraging me to go for a ride.

  • There's some lovely bridle paths along the cliff tops.
