Sometimes my sprints come back to haunt my in my dreams, so bad is the lag.
If you're sprinting on 53/11, 10° at the freehub is 2° at the crank. Since the only reason to freewheel in the last km is to get around a corner, with the cranks vertical, any lag is going to happen during a crank phase where you'd be applying very little power anyway. It might even be good to have more lag, so that you can get your crank into a high torque position without resistance :-)
That's so cool! I always felt the problem when an uphill section comes, the lag is so bad that until the hub locks I am already past the section and already going back downhill.
