You can probably unbend it in a vice seeing its made of cheese. Same thing happened to my beater but downhill at full (fixed) speed and other than some chipping in the BB and epic skidding no damage was done

At the risk of missing the joke:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_fatigue
All four stays are twisted. Getting this straightened out means bending all four again. Then you are going to apply some torque again by riding. What happens when one of the stays stops bending and starts breaking? I mean I'm no expert but it just doesn't seem worth the risk. The frame is done. Get a new one.

It will just look straightened out but instead of being nice functional stays it will have dents, ripples and bends in it that shift about how/where it stresses the and before not long at all the frame will just unexpectedly fold under you.
If you want to do a kinda childish experiment of how this might work then take a coke can and if it has no dents you can rest a reasonable amount of weight on it. Then scrunch the can or even just put a small dent in it and do your best to make it straight, put the weight on again and watch the can get crushed far more easily.

Frame was obviously of subpar quality

ha couldn't help but laugh at the last picture

Seatpost into seattube looks bent too? The angle of the photo isn't great, but even then I'm calling either car into the side of you, or car/bus/van/truck squished it while parked in a rack then you rode it a bit and only then did the chain come off and you noticed what had happened?
Saw a micra flatten two bike stands yesterday, or rather, went to park at said stand only to find a red micra parked on top of them. Waited around for 2 minutes for driver to turn up, and yup, they hadn't even realised. Stands were already bent from a previous vehicle but even so, amazed the micra wasn't wrecked.

the best thing to do would be to go get it recycled, if the metal is okish they can make it into cans and stuff. i reckon its definitely more suited to that

no, i went there. despite locktite on the pedals, both crank arms now have play, fortunately it was just a beater set.

haha actually considering bending it back into "shape" hahahaa what is the point

• #37
how do you break a FGFS frame by pedalling too hard!?
plus its steel, just bend it back with a hammer
-
• #38
I lol'd
-
• #39
It's an fgfs frame so just do backward circles until it straightens itself out.

has anyone else attempted to deliberately apply some bendage to a steel frame?
It's not fucking easy,and I'm an ingenious bodger!Not a chance......

I have..

i didnt have a bike and needed one asap.
has anyone else attempted to deliberately apply some bendage to a steel frame?
It's not fucking easy, and I'm an ingenious bodger!it can be done provided you dont crease the frame! this means no vices or hammers. i managed to get it as good as true without creasing the frame, but then the crank arms copped it as it was LHD (although i did locktite the pedals in, im not sure how this happened, the same pedals also threaded an omnium crank arm). the botched frame did last long enough for me to get a new frame though (Nicolai fixie)
anyway, the update, all is not lost! I still have one part left, and i have plans :)

not initially, but uuuuuhhh. yes?
also, what frame is that? looks sweet.

I see the cause of the problem. The rear valve stem is not lined up with the logos on the rear tyre. Sort this out and it will magically all pull back into shape.

So i have finally got round to sorting out my malum!
Specs:
Material -Steel
Weight - 1.4Kg
Volume - 1.7L (no messing around here)This could actually be an improvement on the frame!

stella come in pints, i needed to make sure it could hold three of them! plus i like beating women, just look at her frame!
^same. Please don't ride a structurally unsound frame.
