Is anyone after a mixte 650B project? It has no rear brake and the front brake is weak so it is not rideable
I have a 1986 52cm Starnord bike (54cm TT projected), steel frame with drum brakes.
Full mudguards, side stand, dynamo, swept back bars, chainguard.
It was a 3 speed which I have turned into a singlespeed so I removed all the gearing kit and fitted a 16T freewheel and a new 1/8th KMC chain.
I was trying to adjust the drum brakes as they were (still are) super weak and the rear action lever arm (on the hub) snapped so now is has no rear brake. Pedals are knackered too.
The ideal solution would be to source a replacement rear drum brake hub (good luck with that).
The 'easiest' solution would be relacing the rear wheel with a fixed hub or even a coaster hub.
I had this bike in my backgarden for too long and spent about £50 on new tyres, freewheel and chain so I had enough now.
Yours for free if you purchase 2 cases of my family Champagne.
Or £50->sold for £40 to recoup my spending would be nice...
(it does not ride safely so you would need to be picked up with a car or ghost-ride it).
