Me and me friend went halfs on this animals. Gave it a good service, grease, true, clean, polish and the rest. Took around 5 hours but the bike is in great shape & the wheels trued nicely.
zero euro spent.

Is that a bent front derailleur?

• #216
On the Raleigh?
-
• #217
Sorry, yeah on the Raleigh. Looks like the chain would hardly clear it on the inner chainring.
-
• #218
It could be, I'll give it another look but the Derailleur is really broke up so I kinda just threw it on at whatever angle worked.

Derailleurs spot on!

New Project:
After completing the Colnago I needed something to keep my fingers busy so whilst browsing Ebay I noticed this bike and decided to commit.
Cycled home today and The Bike was there there ready to be unpacked.
Front Hub wasn't smooth enough to cycle without regreasing so I got straight into it and disassembled the bike without even riding.
Fully Removed the headset after grinding down the uneven headset remover.

^ liking this. what a great project! frame like that needs some love :)
-
• #224
The frame looks in great condition for it's age.

Ye it's in very good condition, it's 56x56 so I won't be the one using it, plan on restoring it with the utensils& tools I on the Colnago and selling it.
I have a Shimano Wheelset, 8 speed cassette, F + R Derailleur & 8 speed intergrated shifters.
also going to use a few bits from the Colnago like the Headset and stem.
I'm going to swap handlebars, selling the chrome Giros from this Moser and Keeping the Silver handlebar off the Colnago. Planning on Cleaning, Greasing & trueing the wheelset before selling, using tubes from Moser and Brand new Shawlbe Lugano 23 tires which I have. After this is all over I am going to Restore the Gruppo and try get a complete Super Record Group together.
