For those who don't think it is an amazing seatpost for an amazing price:
Similar seatpost (27.2 mm) but with no logo shield 60 £ in Gumtree, and more than 80 £ with logo shield in ebay.
The retro campagnolo seatpost with the logo shield are very rare and really nice. A collecionist piece. -

They are not that rare. There's about 15 on eBay at the moment. Lower your price or take the effort to polish it. Simple.

.....guess it's how much emphasis you pay for the Campag badge on the sides as here's one in similar condition (not my sale I hasten to add) without logo's for less spondoolicks:

Obviously, that is not the same post.
Please, if any of you find a 27.2mm Campy aero seat-post with the shield logo in the side cheaper tan mine, post it here, I will change the price. If not, the price is 45£. -
• #13
If you want, i will polish it for you and you can ask 80
-
• #14
To me it looks like a very ordinary late 80s chorus seatpost in average condition. If it was worth the asking it would be gone.
-
• #15
it is worth 20-25 in its current condition.

Please, if any of you find a 27.2mm Campy aero seat-post with the shield logo in the side cheaper tan this one, post it here, I will change the price.
Listening your comments and experience, I am pretty sure you will find it very soon.
If not, I am sorry but the price is 45£. -

what its real value is what someone is prepared to pay I guess but are the ones advertised elsewhere for a similar price that you are asking actually selling for that amount? I notice that it has been available for three months now which to me would indicate the need to review the pricing structure however if you come across a buyer that is desperate for that final item to complete a period correct build then you may get lucky!
my personal view as to its current value and condition would be in the £25/£30 range -

There were are, now lower the price! -

Thanks Keir, this post is the same that mine but include some strong scratches and mine only marks of use. According to that price, those scratches, and Saxby's recomendation, the new price for my Seatpost is 40£.
Cuddles, you are so rude for having no idea about bikes, that post is not 27.2mm, is not shield logo marked, but the most important, is not Campy !

There's one on Gumtree at the mo for £40:
Is it yours?

Yes, I'm sorry after more tan 3 months trying to understand the rules and expertise of this forum, 2 days ago I decided to change of pace.
By the way, I cannot see if the 16£ one is 27.2 mm and it is in good condition.
Thanks!
Very nice vintage Campagnolo seatpost, 27.2 mm, silver, shield logo on the sides. In perfect condition, working 100%, but with typical signs and marks of use.
Price: new 40£ (50£).
The seatpost is very near to Shepherd’s Bush (London), you are welcome to collect. Domestic post in UK add £6, European post £12 and worldwide £18.
