I've got one with some squashage at the bottom end, not cracked or split but has being trimmed to approx 250mm rails to base. I've had it fitted to my audax build and it's fine but I'm having to find a home for my USE alien as I can't use that with my new carbon railed saddle on my race bike so one has to go.
