  • @ acliff - go on, do you good price :p

  • @roadwarrior thanks, but I think I will save my money until I find some spider rings, despite the looks the FSA super rings, I'm happy with how they shift.

  • Anyone interested in buying my CAAD9 frame + forks?
54cm, blue, good condition with FSA headset and a praxis bb30 converter.

  • Excuse the rubbish photo but I finally got round to upgrading my caad8 - upgraded sora to 105 and the awful wheels to miche hubs on h plus son rims

  • Almost finished my Beast of the East, gotta bleed the brakes, tidy up the cable routing, switch cranks to an old coda and take the brake discs off,

Also finished my 1FG (now 10FG), took some forum advice and coughed up for some jagwire gearcable, shifting feels so much better, also new hydro hose and clean brake fluid!

  • Much jealousy - a 1FG is the most recent of my bikes to have been stolen. I still miss it.

  • @Jay75 the beast looks like a whole lot of fun.

Those F series frames are still rad as fck in my mind.

My F700 was stolen, too. WELCOME TO LONDON etc.

  • My F500 was stolen also. Still miss it

  • I remember that polished frame

the beast is really nice to ride with the high bottom bracket, can see why it became so popular with the trials crowd

next up is a tandem 02' mtb frame and a 24" cruiser hopefully like these

  • That your Tandem?

  • Lust! Yellow Flite and Maguras are spot on.

  • Nah, I've hopefully found the same frame (the blue is the MT2000 same frame though) but in red, yellow and black MT4000, just the frame sans fork, my friend wants to ride but is too old so a tandem should fit the bill nicely, there's a fair few rarer Cannondales like the Police edition that have been popping up recently
the flite was a present for Xmas nos from 96', the Maguras are a right pain in the ass to setup though! Was almost tempted to switch for some V'brakes

  • Probably a good thing that it's sans-fork. Those dual headshok forks were jokes.

  • Is it wrong that someone of, erm 'above average height' really wants one of these :-/

  • Currently Spamming the rest of the forum with my new build.

  • That's awesome, Ben!

  • Nice, and I do really like the colour matched 3T Funda.

  • I'd probably change the saddle but otherwise it's really nice

  • Sizing down from this 60cm to a 58cm + changing 120mm stem for 130mm - any point? Reach would increase by 5mm, bars would drop 15mm. Haven't tried slamming this one yet and don't want to cut the steerer. Could I try slamming the stem and leaving steerer above without any issues, using a torque wrench, or not a good idea? Also possibly Ultegra Di2, maybe with Praxis BB convertor... Ridden this set-up over 100 miles and was without pain anywhere. Got decent local Strava segment times. Just considering options. Also the recent Red FD set-up really naffed me off. Is Di2 a whole other world of pain, or quite simple, fit and forget?

  • @ChrisMGS to give you some comparison; I'm 192cm and I ride a 58cm with a slammed 130mm stem:

  • Cheers buddy. Yeah I had your bike in mind. 175mm HT, right? How are you liking it after riding it for a while? Have you tried any long rides?
