Recently when I close a tab in Safari, it closes 2.
I definitely only single click.
Doesn't seem to happen if I close a tab I'm not viewing.
When it does happen it's almost as if it shows me the next tab momentarily then shuts it too.
Any ideas?
Edit: I think it just closed 3 with one click there.

On a very serious note, do any of you guys have the retina MacBook Pro from ideally 2014 / 2015 and run legitimate Adobe CC either just CC or CC 2014? I am revisiting this theory that it might be the cloud client that interfere with the machine...

Anyone had any problems where when you open an application, no window appears but the program is running? I had this a long time ago with photoshop on my old macbook and I have had it for the last month or so on my new mac with system preferences. The only way to see the window is to minimise the program and then when you click back onto it, it appears. Its strange, don't know what causes it.

Just want to rule out as many things as possible. The tech guy at apple told me if their engineers come back with no joy then they want me to wipe the machine clean (here we go again!), install a fresh copy of the OS and then use it with nothing else on it for a couple of days... if no prob then to install 1 programme at a time, with a few days between them to determine if there is a 3d party apple that is the troublemaker here... this would in effect put more than half my machine out of order for God knows how many days... not gonna go down that road with them!!!

I have a first gen retina which was running a mix of legit cc and cc14 until my subscription ended. I don't think I ever had any problems reg sleep but now I'm wondering if I did and I. Just didn't care because it happened so rarely.This thread is giving everything viruses.

I'm on 10.10 yes, don't think it is the problem though as the problem still occurred before I updated to it. Haven't really tried to find a proper fix for it as i've been too lazy. No doubt a clean install will do the job but ehh

I had this once, the windows were opening on a different screen. It wasn't even a physical screen (I do have two, but the second is mirrored as it's in a different room), it was a 'virtual' second screen off to the right. It's not that is it?
I don't think I could two finger swipe using my magic mouse to see the virtual second screen but when I went to displays in system preferences and got everything back onto one screen the problem went away.

Silly question but are you/they sure it's a software problem? There are lots of other models of Mac not having this problem which makes me wonder if it's not a hardware issue unique to the retina MBP, which would explain why it has happened to you again?
Is there anything inside the retina MBP that isn't inside other Macs?

This is where I can't draw to any definitive conclusion. I spent a good couple of hours looking at various forums and a lot of people are having the same problem or very similar, and we have different models of the retina Macs and have different software installed. Some managed to find successful workaround by blocking things, changing things in terminal etc. On the flip side, folks also have retina Macs that have absolutely no problem whatsoever.
Personally, I think it's something to do with the wiring between the ram and the logic board, as it would explain the delay in waking up, we tired with different settting in the pmset and had some success, but it didn't last long, hence this speculation. But then again, how unlucky would I have to be to have gotten 2 Macs from 2 completely different batches that have the same problem?
Someone suggested that it might be a normal behavour of SSD, and if it is, then why doesn't everyone get this? Why doesn't it happen on PCs? Or maybe it does and I am just not looking at those data.

I was planning on picking up a retina macbook pro this evening, im now a little concerned. I have become a definite Mac person because of my excellent experience with them down the years, but maybe they have finally descended to pc levels of ball ache.
hmmm... maybe i'll spend a bit more time researching.
