  • Looks great! Nice top tube.
Don't see many in such good condition either. What size it?

  • Just for the record, Donohue made aero tubes in all types and grades of tube with a press he built. I have a 531 millennium and 853 in a teardrop cross section.

Check it out, there are older teardrop donohues about that pre date Reynolds producing oval tubes. Little known fact.

  • That yellow donohue in the last page is great. It has similar type of decals than mine which I think is around '98. Is that Reynolds 853 or Reynolds 853 Pro Team (it says in the decal)? The top tube seems to be flat from top and bottom like in mine. Not too many framebuilders seemed to use that kind of tubing.

I've had some people ask whether I still have soserious's old Donohue (I think there is a picture of it in the first pages of this thread), and the answer is yes. Here is a picture of current setup. All business now, front spoke setup waits until summer :)

  • I finally got the new forks I bought from @TM last year fitted, and changed to a disc brake at the front. It's slowly getting better to ride, though I'm not getting any better at riding it.

  • Looks boss, how do they compare to the rst?

  • Very nice build!

  • Got my hands on a nice road frame. Tempting to refurb the same as my track version.

  • Here you go.

  • The paint is lovely, with the obligatory rust here and there.
Fork is a monster, feels like it weighs as much as the frame!

  • Probs the best one out there imo.
Was for sale a few years back on here, for peanuts I seem to remember....

  • Paint looks great, very nice colour. eBay find?

  • Love this as well, V jealous!
Am I right in thinking you're based in E7 now as well?

  • Yeah. Not particularly a bargain but but hey, nice to have matching pair right?
Have mostly DA7700 to bung on it, might have to get a carbon fork also.

  • on my phone so not really sure but is it the sparkly purple paint? my graham weigh on here somewhrre (as donohue built) had that paint. so lush

  • It's blue sparkly.
    That purple was lovely also!

  • Looks a bit small compared to the track doe?

  • Ah yeah, well track has raised bb of course and is 55 ctc seat tube, road frame is 53cm seat tube so all looks a bit exaggerated I guess.
    Should be ok, we'll see.

  • Correct, where abouts are you?

Not sure my MTB is going to join me there yet, there's too much good riding around my parents' house.

Re forks, @hypercolour is selling a pair of Columbus Minimals which would set it off lovely and shave a bit of weight off.

  • Cann Hall, near Londis.
Gimme a holla, DAS, whatever. Would be good to do a show me yours, I'll show you mine sort of thing :)
Re forks, thanks for the tip, yes Columbus minimals are the way to go I guess.

  • well all this talk made me have a look at the bay.

    ohh errrr...

    (too big for me though..)

  • Let's go with a late 80's 531 MTB. Best riding bike I've ever ridden.

If I'm not mistaken this Graham Weigh is built by Donohue. Might be a bargain, couple of days left to bid.
