Owning your own home

We've found an absolute WRECK of a cottage in Blackheath.
Being sold by the council because the old person is being taken into care and has no next of kin so the council are selling on her behalf to fund her care.
Estate agent said it was worth putting in your lowest offer (because of the state it is in). He also suggested that dealing with the LA is really easy. And usually goes along the lines of:

• Property is listed at £X
  
• Offer is made at £X-20%
  
• LA show their cards and explain the minimum value they would accept.
  
• Offer is made at minimum LA viable cost.
  SOLD.
  
  

And it is a STEAL!
After our sale and costs we would have enough change to do a rear extension, rewire throughout, new boiler and all plumbing, new kitchen, new bathroom and cosmetics.

I properly love it, and so does our lass.

Got my AIP sorted, going to be on the phone at 9:01 tomorrow to try and get this in the bag.

We wanted a serious project and we might just get it.
